What is the Porsche Taycan?
The 2020 Porsche Taycan or "Lively Young Horse" is the newest installment of an all-electric vehicle from Porsche. The new Porsche will feature an 800 Volt electrical system that can provide some insane quick charging capabilities. It is rumored it has the ability to charge 250 miles in 15 minutes! That is insane. The car uses a 96-kWh battery pack with an estimated range of over 300 miles.
Horsepower: Over 600hp
0-60mph: 3.5 Seconds
0-124mph: 12 seconds
Porsches initial production target was 20,000 units. Pre-orders have skyrocketed to 30,000 and counting so now they have stepped up their game! Currently, they have been producing around 35,000 911s a year so things are going to get interesting with the production of the new Taycan.
Car is set to be priced starting around $90,000 -$120,000 depending on options which we have not heard much about. More info coming later this year when the release.
